Variations in Human Serum β-Globulins
Nature, 1957GENETICALLY controlled variations in the haptoglobins (α2-globulins) of human serum have been demonstrated by electrophoresis in starch gels1–3. The frequencies of the genes controlling these proteins probably differ from one racial group to another4. Inherited differences in the serum proteins of dairy cattle have also been established using the same ...

Blood Serum Globulin in Leprosy
The American Journal of Tropical Medicine, 1925Conclusions and Summary The results in this series of cases indicate that Sia's globulin precipitation test is positive in certain cases of leprosy, particularly in the nodular and mixed types of the disease. Complement interaction with immune serum globulin and immune globulin intravenous
The American Journal of Medicine, 1984Three complement assays, C1q binding activity, C3 activation in normal human serum, and enhancement of alternative pathway activity, have been used to evaluate the in vitro anticomplementary activity of untreated and heat-aggregated (63 degrees C, 10 minutes) immune serum globulin and immune globulin intravenous prepared by partial reduction and ...

THE USE OF HUMAN IMMUNE SERUM GLOBULIN (GAMMA GLOBULIN)
Journal of the American Medical Association, 1945Because of the long period of convalescence following infectious hepatitis with resulting loss of manpower to the United States Army, the present study was conducted in suitable groups in the Mediterranean Theater of Operations in order to determine whether or not gamma globulin is an effective therapeutic agent in lessening the severity of the disease
