Magnesium and the risk of cardiovascular events: a meta-analysis of prospective cohort studies. [PDF]
BACKGROUND: Prospective studies that have examined the association between dietary magnesium intake and serum magnesium concentrations and the risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD) events have reported conflicting findings. We undertook a meta-analysis to

A Study of Serum Magnesium Levels in Patients with Acute Myocardial Infarction in the Rural Population of Vijayapura District [PDF]
Background and Aim: Magnesium is an essential element for the proper functioning and regulation of cardiovascular physiology. It acts as a vital helper molecule in various enzyme systems and is involved in multiple cardiovascular processes.

We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Intracellular and serum magnesium in patients with renal magnesium wasting
Hintergrund: Renale Magnesium (Mg)-Verlusterkrankungen sind eine wichtige Ursache zur Entwicklung eines Mg-Mangels. Der Großteil des Mg im Blut liegt intrazellulär vor.

Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Massive Transfusion Increases Serum Magnesium Concentration
(1) Background: The massive transfusion of packed red blood cells (RBCs) is a lifesaving procedure, but it is associated with complications, e.g., dysmagnesemia. Since magnesium is an intracellular ion, the transfused RBCs can significantly influence the

This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Influences of serum magnesium on measurements of serum parathyroid hormone.
The amino sequence recognizable parathyroid hormones (PTH) in lower and non-lower magnesemic groups in randomized samples were measured by using various kinds of the well established PTH kits. The levels of carboxy terminal, mid-region and intact PTH in lower magnesemic group were more decreased than these in non-lower magnesemic group.

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.
