Markovian phase-type single working vacation queue with breakdown and standby server
We consider a single server queuing model with three service types, each with three phases. In which the customers arrive according to a Poisson process and the service time of each customer follows Hyper-Erlang distribution.

In this paper, a bulk arrival and two-phase bulk service with active Bernoulli feedback, vacation, and breakdown is considered. The server provides service in two phases as mandatory according to the general bulk service rule, with minimum bulk size ′a ...

M[x]/G/1 Multistage Queue with Stand-by Server during Main Server's Interruptions
This paper investigates a multistage batch arrival queue with different server interruptions and a second server replaces the main server during the interruptions. The different server interruptions are assumed to be: multiple vacation, extended vacation,

Analysis of a Discrete-Time Queueing Model with Disasters
Queueing models with disasters can be used to evaluate the impact of a breakdown or a system reset in a service facility. In this paper, we consider a discrete-time single-server queueing system with general independent arrivals and general independent ...

A Single Server Queue with Immediate Feedback, Working Vacation and Server Breakdown
This paper deals with analyze of a single server queueing system with immediate feedbacks and working vacation. Upon arrival if the customer sees the server to be busy then it joins the tail end of queue. Otherwise if server is idle, the customer gets into service.

Letter to the Editor—Some Remarks on Server Breakdown [PDF]
A single queue with a Poisson input and arbitrary service time is considered. We suppose that the server is subject to random breakdowns that have an arbitrary distribution. The distribution of the queue length at the end of a normal and breakdown period is determined. From this the distribution at a randomly chosen time is found.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Server behaviours in healthcare queueing systems [PDF]
In the classical queueing theory literature, a server is commonly assumed to work at a constant speed. Motivated by observations from healthcare applications, a study is made to explore the nature of the relationship between service times and workload in

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

study priority queueing system consisting of working breakdown, repair, single vacation and vacation interruption. At a breakdown instant during the busy period, without stop the servie, the server provides service at slower rate for the current customer.
