Perspectives in educating molecular pathologists on liquid biopsy: Toward integrative, equitable, and decentralized precision oncology

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Liquid biopsy enables minimally invasive, real‐time molecular profiling through analysis of circulating biomarkers in biological fluids. This Perspective highlights the importance of training pathologists through integrative educational programs, such as the European Masters in Molecular Pathology, to ensure effective and equitable implementation of ...

A QoS-Aware Scheduling Algorithm for High-Speed Railway Communication System

open access: yes, 2014
With the rapid development of high-speed railway (HSR), how to provide the passengers with multimedia services has attracted increasing attention. A key issue is to develop an effective scheduling algorithm for multiple services with different quality of

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Low Cost Quality of Service Multicast Routing in High Speed Networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
Many of the services envisaged for high speed networks, such as B-ISDN/ATM, will support real-time applications with large numbers of users. Examples of these types of application range from those used by closed groups, such as private video meetings or ...

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Service-Oriented Power Allocation for High-Speed Railway Wireless Communications

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
The rapid development of high-speed railways (HSRs) all over the world is drawing much more attention on high-mobility wireless communication. For the wireless links that connect the passengers on the train to the cellular network, it is very essential ...

cISP: A Speed-of-Light Internet Service Provider

open access: yes, 2018
Low latency is a requirement for a variety of interactive network applications. The Internet, however, is not optimized for latency. We thus explore the design of cost-effective wide-area networks that move data over paths very close to great-circle ...
