ABSTRACT The Guanche mummies, ancient inhabitants of the Canary Islands, represent a significant part of the historical heritage preserved at the Museum of Nature and Archaeology (MUNA) in Tenerife, Spain. These mummies, subjected to artificial conservation practices, are of great interest to conservators seeking to understand their mummification ...

The contact allergy prevalence in individuals with diabetes and in diabetes medical device (MD) users is unknown. This study in 204 diabetes MD users (114 with rash to diabetes MDs, 90 without) aimed at investigating the contact allergy prevalence to baseline series allergens. Contact allergies to sesquiterpene lactone mix and myroxylon pereirae resin (

Phylogenetic history shapes the composition of floral scents in a specialized pollination mutualism
Summary Most studies of the chemical ecology of plant–pollinator interactions emphasize the role of pollinator‐mediated selection in shaping floral scent composition. Nevertheless, phylogeny may constrain the metabolic pathways underlying these profiles, thereby influencing the evolutionary trajectory of the emitted signals.

ABSTRACT The Copaifera species are traditionally used for their anti‐inflammatory, antiseptic and healing properties. The objective of this study was to compare the chromatographic profiles of seven samples of copaiba oil‐resin with respect to chromatographic and physicochemical properties and to evaluate their biological activities.

ABSTRACT Background Non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is the leading cause of cancer‐related death worldwide. Cyclin‐dependent kinase 4 (CDK4) is a well‐validated oncogenic driver in NSCLC, yet current CDK4 inhibitors—predominantly based on the aminopyrimidine scaffold—are limited by structural homogeneity and the rapid emergence of acquired ...

This study presents the first complete chloroplast genomes of two medicinally important Stachys species, S. persica and S. germanica. Comparative phylogenomic analyses revealed highly conserved genomes with lineage‐specific variations, identified hypervariable regions as candidate DNA barcodes, and detected signatures of positive selection in the petB ...

Clostridium perfringens forms heat‐resistant spores that complicate food safety. Physical methods (thermal processing, HPP, vacuum cooling, ozone treatments) and chemical interventions (natural antimicrobials, phosphates, nitrate/nitrite, organic acids) reduce vegetative cells and spores, though spore resistance remains a major challenge in food and ...

The geranium essential oil (EO) nanoemulsion was incorporated into fucoidan‐whey protein film. Active fucoidan‐whey protein film showed higher mechanical, antioxidant, and water barrier properties. Fucoidan‐whey protein film loaded with geranium EO nanoemulsion exhibited antimicrobial and antifungal activities.
