Secondary Organic Aerosol Formation from Healthy and Aphid-Stressed Scots Pine Emissions. [PDF]
One barrier to predicting biogenic secondary organic aerosol (SOA) formation in a changing climate can be attributed to the complex nature of plant volatile emissions.

The essential oils of Piper nigrum show marked chemical and biological variation across fruit maturation stages. Ripe fruits yield oils with the strongest antioxidant and cytotoxic activities, demonstrating that maturation directly modulates volatile composition and enhances the bioactive potential of this aromatic species.

Erioflorin stabilizes the tumor suppressor Pdcd4 by inhibiting its interaction with the E3-ligase β-TrCP1 [PDF]
Loss of the tumor suppressor Pdcd4 was reported for various tumor entities and proposed as a prognostic marker in tumorigenesis. We previously characterized decreased Pdcd4 protein stability in response to mitogenic stimuli, which resulted from p70S6K1 ...
