CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Local Aggregation in a Dynamic Setting [PDF]

open access: yes
Although it is not possible, in general, to give a macro description of a micro model over the entire state space of the micro model, it is possible to aggregate exactly over a subspace.

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

Generalized Gaussian wave packet dynamics: Integrable and Chaotic Systems

open access: yes, 2016
The ultimate semiclassical wave packet propagation technique is a complex, time-dependent WBK method known as generalized Gaussian wave packet dynamics (GGWPD).

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Analysis and simulation of rare events for SPDEs*

open access: yesESAIM: Proceedings and Surveys, 2015
In this work, we consider the numerical estimation of the probability for a stochastic process to hit a set B before reaching another set A. This event is assumed to be rare.

Principle of territoriality: trajectories and settings

open access: yes, 2016
Starting from the concepts of principle and territory, this article presents the historical marks and settings of the Principle of Territoriality on archival approach. Starts of a master's research, analyzes the importance of the principle for the development of Archival Science as a scientific discipline, through the analysis of 35 textbooks from the ...

Molecular cancer prevention: Intercepting disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Oncological practice must evolve, from treating established tumours to proactive cancer interception before clinical manifestation. This will require mechanistic insight into tumour initiation, validated biomarkers of early disease development and redesigned clinical trials, enabling cancer interception to become a core pillar of oncology with the ...

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Optimisation of Low-Thrust and Hybrid Earth-Moon Transfers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
This paper presents an optimization procedure to generate fast and low-∆v Earth-Moon transfer trajectories, by exploiting the multi-body dynamics of the Sun-Earth-Moon system.
