Čech cohomology, homoclinic trajectories and robustness of non-saddle sets

open access: yesDiscrete & Continuous Dynamical Systems, 2021
In this paper we study flows $ :M\times\mathbb{R}\longrightarrow M$ having an isolated non-saddle set. We see that the complexity of the region of influence of an isolated non-saddle set $K$ depends on the way in which $K$ sits on the phase space at the cohomological level.

Poisson multi-Bernoulli mixture trackers: continuity through random finite sets of trajectories

open access: yes, 2018
The Poisson multi-Bernoulli mixture (PMBM) is an unlabelled multi-target distribution for which the prediction and update are closed. It has a Poisson birth process, and new Bernoulli components are generated on each new measurement as a part of the ...

Sirolimus for Extracranial Arteriovenous Malformations: A Scoping Review of the Evidence in Syndromic and Non‐Syndromic Cases

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are rare, high‐flow, vascular anomalies that can occur either sporadically or as part of a genetic syndrome. AVMs can progress with serious morbidity and even mortality if left unchecked. Sirolimus is an mTOR inhibitor that is effective in low‐flow vascular malformations; however, its role in AVMs is unclear.

Development and Validation of a Deep Learning Algorithm and Open-Source Platform for the Automatic Labelling of Motion Capture Markers

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
The purpose of this work was to develop an open-source deep learning-based algorithm for motion capture marker labelling that can be trained on measured or simulated marker trajectories.

Pediatric Oncology Nursing Competencies in Latin America and the Caribbean: A Scoping Review to Inform Practice, Education, and Research

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Nurses are central to cancer care for children and adolescents, yet no comprehensive synthesis has defined essential core competencies for pediatric oncology nursing (PON) practice internationally, particularly in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC).

About one discrete analog of Hausdorff semi-continuity of suitable mapping in a vector combinatorial problem with a parametric principle of optimality ("from Slater to lexicographic")

open access: yesJournal of Numerical Analysis and Approximation Theory, 2006
multicriteria linear combinatorial problem is considered, principle of optimality of which is defined by a partitioning of partial criteria onto groups with Slater preference relation within each group and the lexicographic preference relation ...

Online Safety Zone Estimation and Violation Detection for Nonstationary Objects in Workplaces

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
This study presents a deep neural network (DNN)-based safety monitoring method. Nonstationary objects such as moving workers, heavy equipment, and pallets were detected, and their trajectories were tracked.

Pulmonary Dysfunction Is Associated With Sleep Study Abnormalities in Children With Sickle Cell Disease: A Multicenter Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Pulmonary dysfunction and sleep abnormalities are common in children with sickle cell disease (SCD) and are associated with worse clinical outcomes. Whether spirometry abnormalities are associated with polysomnography (PSG) findings remains unclear.

Multiscaling in passive scalar advection as stochastic shape dynamics

open access: yes, 1997
The Kraichnan rapid advection model is recast as the stochastic dynamics of tracer trajectories. This framework replaces the random fields with a small set of stochastic ordinary differential equations.
