Message Framing and Self‐Control in Food Waste Reduction: Time of Day as a Situational Proxy for Self‐Control Resources

open access: yesInternational Journal of Consumer Studies, Volume 50, Issue 3, May 2026.
ABSTRACT This research examines message strategies to motivate individuals to reduce food waste, focusing on whether and how framing effects depend on self‐control resources as a boundary condition. Study 1 shows that loss‐framed messages increased intentions to reduce food waste when self‐control was low, but no framing effect emerged when self ...

Comparative Analysis of Fungal Spore Flora Among Birds, Insects and Air in a Temperate Japanese Forest

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 1, January 2026.
Birds, insects and air each host distinct fungal spore communities in a Japanese temperate forest; birds and insects act as selective vectors, while air provides maximal diversity. Our study highlights the importance of analysing multiple taxa to understand ecosystem‐level fungal spore dispersal and interactions.

Bryo‐zoophily: a new look at the ecology of moss and animal interactions

open access: yesNew Zealand Journal of Botany, Volume 63, Issue 5, Page 2275-2299, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Interactions between plants and animals often play a major role in the ecology of both partners. While such interactions are well studied in vascular plants such as angiosperms and gymnosperms, they are less well understood in bryophytes. However, an extensive search of the scientific literature reveals several cases of known and suspected ...
