A Disulfide‐Sticker Strategy for Marine Adhesive Coatings: From Deciphering Self‐Assembly Mechanism to Functional Application in Hair Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A disulfide‐sticker strategy, coupled with Ca2+ coordination, drives the hierarchical self‐assembly of a recombinant scallop adhesive protein into fishnet‐like nanostructures, affording a coating with versatile wet adhesion and intrinsic antioxidant activity. This biocompatible coating markedly promotes hair regeneration by activating follicular niches,

Adverse drug events resulting from use of drugs with sulphonamide-containing anti-malarials and artemisinin-based ingredients: findings on incidence and household costs from three districts with routine demographic surveillance systems in rural Tanzania. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
BACKGROUND: Anti-malarial regimens containing sulphonamide or artemisinin ingredients are widely used in malaria-endemic countries. However, evidence of the incidence of adverse drug reactions (ADR) to these drugs is limited, especially in Africa, and ...

Genetic Ablation and Multi‐Omics Profiling Reveal CEP55 as a Key Driver of Tumorigenesis in Diverse Cancer Models

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Genetic ablation of Cep55 in Pten‐deficient mouse models delays tumorigenesis. Integrated multi‐omics analyses (proteomics, phosphoproteomics, and spatial transcriptomics) reveal that CEP55 regulates oncogenic signaling (RAS/ERK, PI3K/AKT), integrin/FAK‐mediated adhesion, extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling, and endocytosis.

A C‐Nucleoside Analogue of Cordycepin With High Metabolic Stability and Potent Anti‐Psoriatic Activity via Microneedle Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work identified CPD3a as a potent, stable C‐nucleoside cordycepin derivative. When formulated into microneedle array for topical treatment, it ameliorated psoriasis by rebalancing immunity and enhancing antioxidant defenses. ABSTRACT Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory disorder characterized by immune dysregulation and epidermal hyperplasia ...

Application and Single‐Cell Regulation Mechanism of Engineered EVs Combined With 4D‐Printed Hydrogel for Infected Burn Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
4D bioprinted hydrogel loaded with FGF2‐modified extracellular vesicles (4D@F‐EVs) targets dermal fibroblasts and elevates local wound FGF2 levels via sustained release of F‐EVs. It activates PI3K‐Akt signaling, restores critical KGF+ fibroblast–KGFR+ keratinocyte crosstalk, enhances robust angiogenesis and collagen deposition to efficiently repair ...

Incidence of antiseizure medication-induced severe cutaneous adverse reactions in Malaysia

open access: yes, 2022
Antiseizure medication can potentially cause severe cutaneous adverse reactions, and certain antiseizure medication-induced severe cutaneous adverse reactions are associated with specific human leukocyte antigen alleles.
