Severe Plastic Deformed Pure Aluminum by Equal Channel Angular Pressing
Samples of an aluminum alloy were subjected to an equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) at room temperature for one pass. For the several specimens severe plastic deformation process was interrupted to observe the material flow.

The aim had been to study changes in the properties of aluminium alloy AlSiMgMn. Influence of SPD of the mechanical properties had increased (Rm by 86 MPa, Ro0,2 by 175 MPa, while A had decreased to 20 %). The corrosion potentials had been evaluated in the environment of H2O and in SARS. After SPD was observed in the environment of H2O, that resistance

Severe Plastic Deformation (SPD) of metals leads to their strengthening and losses in the work hardening capacity. The latter causes flow localization upon subsequent forming of the material. The application of Low Strain Amplitude Multi-Directional Forging (LSA-MDF) after SPD regenerates the material work hardening capacity and available results cover
