24-Hour Hypoalbuminemia as a Predictor of Sepsis in Severe Burns
Introduction: Burn injuries are associated with considerable morbidity and mortality, particularly when complicated by conditions such as sepsis. Hypoalbuminemia, frequently observed in burn patients, is hypothesized to elevate the risk of sepsis through

Associations of serum gamma-linolenic acid levels with erythema severity and anxiety/depression status in patients with rosacea [PDF]
Background The development of rosacea is suggested to be closely associated with lipid metabolism, inflammation, and anxiety/depression. Gamma linolenic acid (GLA) is a key factor participating in lipid metabolism, which is also confirmed to regulate the

Biologically Active Implants Prevent Mortality in a Mouse Sepsis Model
A modular, triple‐action titanium implant is developed to prevent implant‐associated infections by repelling bacteria, killing pathogens, and enhancing tissue integration. Coatings with phage cocktails targeting P. aeruginosa and S. aureus show significant bacterial reduction and improved survival in a mouse sepsis model.
