Breakdown Gradients in SF6-N2, SF6-Air and SF6-CO2 Mixtures
IEEE Transactions on Electrical Insulation, 1980A method to calculate the uniform field breakdown gradients for SF6-N2, SF6-air and SF6-CO2 mixtures is discussed. Calculated values of the breakdown gradients in these mixtures are compared with experimentally measured values using plane-plane electrode configuration and direct applied voltages.

Breakdown field strength of SF6, N2O, SF6+N2, and SF6+N2O
Journal of Applied Physics, 1981The breakdown voltages of some electron attaching gases and gas mixtures have been calculated from their fundmental properties such as ionization and attachment cross sections, the momentum transfer cross section, the drift velocity or the mean energy of electrons.

Electrical breakdown of N2O, SF6 and N2O/SF6 mixtures
Proceedings of the Institution of Electrical Engineers, 1974Measurements of static breakdown voltages were made for SF6 and N2O/SF6 mixtures containing between 1% and 50% SF6 by volume for values of Nds within the range 1023 < Nds < 1024 m−2 (where N is the gas number density and ds the sparking distance). These results, together with earlier data on N2O, show that the departures from Paschen's law become ...

Transport of H2 and SF6 in the lung [PDF]
The dead spaces for hydrogen and sulfur hexafluoride are predicted from the solution of a partial differential equation, applied to Weibel's morphometric data of the lung, and including longitudinal convection and diffusion coupled with instantaneous radial diffusion. Traces of H2 and SF6 were washed in and out of the lungs of two normal subjects. Dead
