Optimal overcurrent relay coordination: Balancing costs, time performance and generator placement in fault current limiter optimization

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission &Distribution, Volume 18, Issue 7, Page 1431-1448, April 2024.
This work investigates FCL cost minimization through the placement of the synchronous generator location within the network. This will be achieved by implementing JSO algorithm. Restoring the coordination through the FCLs without changing the directional over current relays settings is one goal of this work.
