R-SFCL and RRCOCS-TVC Based Cooperative Control for Enhancing LVRT Capability of DFIG System

open access: yesTRENDS IN THE SCIENCES, 2022
For the extraction of wind energy through a doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG), low voltage ride through (LVRT) is an essential technical requirement specified by the transmission system operator (TSO). Under a grid fault condition, DFIG should remain

Enhancing transient stability of power systems using a resistive superconducting fault current limiter

open access: yesFrontiers in Energy Research, 2023
The electricity demand keeps increasing with development and time, which leads to the need to install more generating units in the grid. Therefore, the fault current levels will rise above the limits of the electrical equipment, particularly when the ...

Parameter Matching and Optimization of a Hybrid Type DC SFCL Considering the Transient Characteristics of VSC-Based DC Systems

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
Voltage source converter-based (VSC-based) DC systems play an important role in connecting large-scale renewable energy and distributed energy, but they are vulnerable to DC short-circuit fault and lacks mature protection devices and appropriate ...

Experimental Tests of DC SFCL Under Low Impedance and High Impedance Fault Conditions

open access: yesIEEE transactions on applied superconductivity, 2021
DC system protection is more challenging than that for AC system due to the rapid rate of rise of the fault current and absence of natural current zero-crossing in DC systems.

Das Infrarotspektrum von matrixisoliertem SFCl / Infrared Spectrum of Matrix Isolated SFCl

open access: yesZeitschrift für Naturforschung B, 1984
The new compound SFCl was obtained by UV photolysis of FC(O)SCl in rare gas matrix and by UV photolysis of Cl2/SF3SF in the gas phase. Isotopic substitution verifies the molecular identity. Eight frequencies from three isotropic molecules determine the force constants fSF = 4.30 and fscl = 2.90 102N/m.

Studies on the active SISFCL and its impact on the distance protection of the EHV transmission line [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
The active saturated iron-core superconductive fault current limiter (SISFCL) is a good choice to decrease fault current. This paper introduced the principles and impedance characteristic of the active SISFCL.
