The conjugative IncHI1 plasmid pSfR27 from Shigella flexneri 2a strain 2457T encodes the Sfh protein, a paralogue of the global transcriptional repressor H-NS. Sfh allows pSfR27 to be transmitted to new bacterial hosts with minimal impact on host fitness,

Development of Analytical Methods to Evaluate Sfh
Biomaterials, Artificial Cells and Immobilization Biotechnology, 1992For the determination of stroma content in SFH, two analytical methods were developed, the HPLC-UV for phospholipids and the enzyme immunoassay for blood group antigen. These analytical methods were applied to evaluate three representative SFH preparations. The 36,000 x g centrifugation method was shown to contain higher amount of stroma components. On

Systemic Responses to Sfhs-Infusion in Hemorrhaged Dogs
Artificial Cells, Blood Substitutes, and Biotechnology, 1996Anesthetized mongrel (weight range: 16-27 Kg) dogs were prepared for monitoring hemodynamics, blood flow distribution, plasma colloid osmotic pressure and renal functional parameters at various intervals. Removal of 35 ml/Kg blood resulted in marked drop and only partial spontaneous recovery in systemic and pulmonary arterial pressures, cardiac output ...

Bierwisch's analysis as a test of the SFH
Journal of Child Language, 1983ABSTRACTThere has been continuing interest in the Semantic Feature Hypothesis (SFH) over the last ten years but there appears to have been no experimental study which explores a complete semantic field nor one which uses a cross-cultural sample.

A SFH spread spectrum synchronization algorithm for data broadcasting
IEEE Transactions on Broadcasting, 2001In this paper, a practical slow frequency hopping (SFH) spread spectrum discrete synchronization algorithm suitable for data broadcasting is proposed. This algorithm uses additional sync bits in the binary stream of the slow frequency hopping signals for both initial synchronization and tracking purposes.

Error probability for bandlimited hybrid SFH/DS-CDMA
Proceedings of PIMRC '96 - 7th International Symposium on Personal, Indoor, and Mobile Communications, 2002This paper derives the average bit error probability (BEP) for bandlimited hybrid SFH/DS-CDMA over an additive white Gaussian channel when overlapping of adjacent hopping bands is permitted in the frequency domain. The numerical results which focused on the gain by overlapping of the hopping bands are presented for DPSK and BFSK modulation/demodulation.

Performance of SFH/MDPSK in tone interference and Gaussian noise
IEEE Transactions on Communications, 1994Results of a study into the performance of slow frequency hopping M-ary differential phase shift keying (MDPSK) signaling in the presence of both tone jamming and Gaussian noise are presented. Previous work has been extended by considering larger signal sets and skewed differential phases with unequal decision regions.
