Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Moving cast shadow detection using block nonnegative matrix factorization [PDF]
In recent years, moving cast shadow detection has become a critical challenge in improving the accuracy of moving object detection in video surveillance. In this paper, we propose two novel moving cast shadow detection methods based on nonnegative matrix

We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

Automatic detection and removal of static shadows
In case of complex textures, existing static shadow detection and removal algorithms are prone to false detection of the pixels. To solve this problem, a static shadow detection and removal algorithm based on support vector machine(SVM) and region sub ...

Because of the low reflection value of the shadow regions in hyperspectral image (HSI), these regions were deleted directly or ignored in target detection or classification.

Language-Driven Interactive Shadow Detection
Traditional shadow detectors often identify all shadow regions of static images or video sequences. This work presents the Referring Video Shadow Detection (RVSD), which is an innovative task that rejuvenates the classic paradigm by facilitating the segmentation of particular shadows in videos based on descriptive natural language prompts.

Many patients with urothelial cancer do not benefit from treatment with pembrolizumab, while at risk of severe side effects. Changes in the levels of circulating tumor DNA early during treatment, measured by a simple and affordable assay that can be easily implemented in the clinic, can be used as a prognostic tool to identify these patients.
