Leakage current and common mode voltage issues in modern AC drive systems

open access: yes, 2007
Due to rapid developments of IGBT technology, switching time and frequency are dramatically increased. At higher carrier frequencies, IGBTs induce more capacitive coupled current into a rotor and a stator frame and lead to faster bearing damage.

A Worm‐Inspired Origami Robot with Multimodal Locomotion for Adaptive Mobility in Complex Pipeline Environments

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An origami worm‐inspired robot achieves multimodal locomotion in confined pipelines through mechatronic integration that embeds actuation, control, and communication within each origami module. Large, reversible configuration and dimensional changes enable 25 gaits synthesized by a unified framework across peristaltic, inchworm, and wheel‐rolling modes

Design and Validation of Segmented CFRP Lamella-Based Composite End Shield for Bearing Current Mitigation

open access: yesMachines
This study addresses the premature failure of electric motor bearings caused by inverter-induced parasitic currents. We propose a novel segmented end shield design utilizing 24 carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) lamellae to provide both structural ...

Palatable‐Food–Driven Top‐Down Circuit Inhibits PVNCRF Activity to Mitigate Stress Via Peri‐PVNCRFR1 Neurons

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Palatable food alleviates stress and prevents anxiety. This study uncovers a dedicated neural pathway: dopamine release in the PFC activates D1R neurons, whose projections to the peri‐PVN engage a population of anxiolytic CRFR1 neurons. These neurons then inhibit stress‐induced hyperactivity of PVNCRF neurons, providing a circuit‐level explanation for ...

Studi Eksperimental Pengaruh Sudut Sudu pada Turbin Pelton terhadap Performa Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Gelombang Air Mekanisme Piston

open access: yesRekayasa
Renewable energy is energy that comes from natural resources that are continuously available. Renewable energy will replace fossil fuels that will slowly run out, fossil fuels such as oil, gas and coal. Dependence on fossil fuels results in the depletion

Calculation of Shaft Voltage and Bearing Current of Brushless DC Motor Driven by PWM Inverter

open access: yes, 2005
This paper describes the calculated and measured waveforms of shaft voltage and bearing currents of the brushless DC motor driven by PWM inverter. At first, we discussed the current path of the bearing current when unloaded side bearing is conducting and

NLSS3 Impairs SHM1 Autophagic Degradation to Regulate Leaf Morphology and Salt Tolerance in Rice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In rice, NLSS3 binds and shields SHM1 from autophagic degradation to maintain serine homeostasis. The A132P mutation in nlss3 disrupts this, triggering SHM1 loss, metabolic dysfunction, K+ imbalance, and impaired ROS scavenging, which collectively drive narrow leaves and salt sensitivity.

Shaft voltage calculations in a cage induction motor by the finite element method

open access: yes, 2010
In the paper results of finite-element calculations of the shaft voltage in a squirrel-cage induction motor were presented. A two-dimensional field-circuit model of the 300 kW induction motor was developed taking into account supplying the stator winding
