Shallow gas development and grassland songbirds: The importance of perches
ABSTRACTGrassland bird species have declined more than birds of any other region in North America and industrial development may exert further pressure on these species. We evaluated effects of conventional natural gas infrastructure on the relative abundances of grassland songbirds in southeastern Alberta, Canada at sites with shallow gas well pad ...

Charge Storage and Dark Photocatalysis in Multivariate Ti‐Based Metal‐Organic Frameworks
The mixed‐linker series of the titanium‐based metal–organic framework COK‐47 enables systematic tuning of photoresponsiveness and (dark) photocatalytic activity, deepening our understanding of structure‐property‐function relationships. Tailored metal‐to‐ligand charge transfer between the secondary building units (metal‐oxo layers and organic linkers ...

Thickness‐Defined Transport Regime Toward Near‐Ideal Area‐Type Switching
By thinning the oxide layer, memristors pass from diode‐like and battery‐effect‐dominated behavior toward eventual short‐circuit failure. Within the intermediate 5–6 nm window, they reach a near‐ideal analog area‐type switching regime, featuring symmetric hysteresis, area‐dependent conductance, and continuous linear programming of HRS and LRS with ...

A Time-Depth Conversion Method Capable of Correcting Shallow Gas Effects
The presence of shallow gas or overlying gas reservoirs often degrades the imaging accuracy of underlying structural formations. To address the “pull-down” effect of deep structural reflectors caused by low-velocity shallow gas anomalies, this study ...

A frequency-divided gas prediction technology based on resistivity constraint
The gas–water relationship in the Permian and Triassic biohermal beach reservoirs in the Sichuan Basin is complex, which results in a low drilling success rate and leads to sidetracking or even secondary sidetracking in some wells.

Life‐Like Ferrous Oxide Microspheres from Kombucha
Kombucha bacterial cellulose, sodium alginate, and ferrous nitrate self‐assemble into membrane‐enclosed iron oxide microspheres. These microspheres bud daughter vesicles, sustain 24‐h electrochemical oscillations, and filter theta‐band signals.

Solution precursor plasma spraying enables the scalable fabrication of porous and disordered nickel‐iron‐aluminum oxide coatings as precious‐metal‐free anodes. Aluminum inhibits crystal growth, optimizes local atomic sites, and enhances charge and ion transport to accelerate reaction kinetics, leading to excellent performance and operational stability.
