A geophysical study of a pockmark in the Nyegga region, Norwegian Sea [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Over the last decade pockmarks have proven to be important seabed features that provideinformation about fluid flow on continental margins. Their formation and dynamics are stillpoorly constrained due to the lack of proper three dimensional imaging of ...

Advances in Solution‐Processed Textile Triboelectric Nanogenerators: Ink Formation, Processing Strategies, Applications, and Challenges

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Advanced ink systems for solution‐processed textile triboelectric nanogenerators are systematically summarized, spanning conductive, tribo‐negative, and tribo‐positive layers. By connecting ink chemistry, deposition methods, and device function, the present review reveals the key governing principles of solution development and highlights practical ...

Nano Borophene as a Programmable 2D Scaffold for Organized DNA Assembly and Long‐Range Energy Transfer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Borophene is introduced as a programmable 2D bio‐interface that organizes DNA through dual boron–sulfur and nucleobase interactions. This molecular architecture enables efficient long‐range nanosurface energy transfer, establishing new design principles for functional nano–bio interfaces and amplification‐free optical biosensing.

Seismo-acoustic investigations of shallow free gas in the sediments of the Baltic Sea [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Utilizing a variety of multichannel seismic and multi-frequency acoustic instruments, this thesis focuses on the investigation of the frequency dependence in seismo-acoustic imaging of shallow free gas and the development of methods to characterize gas ...

Biodegradable 3D‐Printable and Coatable Antifouling Composites for Marine Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Marine biofouling damages submerged surfaces and raises greenhouse gas emissions. Biodegradable antifouling biocomposites were developed by hot‐mixing beeswax, Tween 80, and calcium stearate or stearic acid. Adjusting the component ratio enables processing via hot‐pressing, 3D‐printing, or dip‐coating.

Beyond Thin Film Limits—Superhard and Hydrogen‐Free Amorphous Carbon Coatings With Over 100 µm Thickness

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
For the first time, an extreme‐thick laser‐arc PVD ta‐C (DLC) coating exceeding 100 µm is demonstrated, opening up new possibilities for ultra‐high load bearing capacity. This superhard amorphous carbon architecture combines >50% sp3 bonding, robust adhesion and self‐supporting performance, shielding substrates from plastic flow under extreme contact ...

ACOUSTIC ENVIRONMENT AND GAS PRODUCTION IN DIFFERENT GROWING-FINISHING SWINE FACILITIES [PDF]

open access: yesEngenharia Agrícola, 2016
This study aimed to evaluate gas levels and the acoustic environment (noise) of growing-finishing swine in different facilities, one composed of shallow pool (SP) and another of partially slatted floor (PSF).

Understanding shallow gas occurrences in the Gulf of Lions [PDF]

open access: yesGeo-Marine Letters, 2007
New coring data have been acquired along the western Gulf of Lions showing anomalous concentrations of methane (up to 95,700 ppm) off the Rhone prodelta and the head of the southern canyons Lacaze-Duthiers and Cap de Creus. Sediment cores were acquired with box and kasten cores during 2004-2005 on several EuroSTRATAFORM cruises.

Influence of gas hydrate morphology on the seismic velocities of sands

open access: yes, 2009
This paper reports the results of a series of resonant column tests on specimens where gas hydrate has been formed in sands using an “excess water” technique.
