Gap-Coupled H-Shaped Antenna for Wireless Applications

Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, India Section A: Physical Sciences, 2019
English-alphabet-shaped micro-strip antennas are reviewed in terms of antenna parameters and their applications. H-shaped patch antenna is designed with gap-coupled technique and a survey of previously designed H-shaped patch antenna are presented. The impedance bandwidths of the proposed H-shaped antenna at lower resonant frequency are 4.0% (HFSS), 4 ...

Nuclear Shapes, Energy Gaps and Phase Transitions

Physica Scripta, 1972
A survey is given of our current understanding of nuclear phase transitions caused by sharp changes in nuclear shapes and energy gaps. Phase diagrams and criteria for normal-superfluid-normal and spherical-prolate-oblate-spherical phase transitions are presented. The superfluid-normal phase transition and the associated back-bending phenomenon observed

3-D Shape measurement using constant gap control

2007 IEEE/ASME international conference on advanced intelligent mechatronics, 2007
The optical laser displacement sensor is a measurement sensor that is widely used to measure the 3-D shape profile of the object surface as a non-contact type. When the surface of objects has large slope variation, the sensor gain is varied with respect to the slope variation of the object surface.

Shapes of Pair Emission Bands in GaP: Ge

Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, 1974
The photoluminescence of donor-acceptor pair bands in GaP(Ge, C), GaP(Ge, Zn) and GaP(Ge, Cd) has been measured at liquid helium temperature. The observed band shapes have been compared with the theoretical model of Keil. The coupling parameter S, which represents a measure of the strength of the lattice-impurity interaction in the model, is properly ...

Sterically Induced Shape and Crystalline Phase Control of GaP Nanocrystals

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2002
We demonstrate a novel synthetic scheme that can be used to control the crystalline phase and shape of GaP semiconductor nanocrystals. Our study shows that steric effects of surfactant ligands can modulate the crystalline phases and control the shapes of nanocrystals.

Crystal symmetry shown by alloyed contact shapes on GaP

Journal of Crystal Growth, 1972
Abstract The spreading shapes of alloying metal on the surface of GaP crystals under suitable conditions show the symmetry of the crystal. In particular, triangles are shown on a (111) type face, and squares on a (100) type face. The orientation of the shapes relative to the underlying crystal structure is discussed.

Cylindrical microstrip antenna with gap-coupled complex shape patches

2013 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium (APSURSI), 2013
The input impedance and return loss versus frequency for probe-fed cylindrical microstrip antennas with complex shape patches are presented. It is shown that the antenna bandwidth can be extended due to the complex shape. The numerical results produced with our in-house developed dedicated software are in good agreement with those obtained with general

Gap-dependent chiral coupling in T-shaped gold nanodimers

SPIE Proceedings, 2008
The mutual non-orthogonal orientations of its horizontal and vertical bars make T-shaped gold nanodimers chiral. Because of the broken symmetry second-harmonic generation from the structure has different efficiencies for left- and right-hand circularly-polarized fundamental light. The chiral signature arises from the coupling between the bars.

Survivor-Shaped Specters and Gaps

...survivors are disappearing from academia. Our schools, our syllabi, our classrooms, our bibliographies, our campuses, our research labs, our thesis committees, our libraries, our conference panels, our departments, our programs, and our monographs are riddled through and through with survivor-shaped gaps.
