Construction of a shared secret key using continuous variables [PDF]

open access: possibleProceedings 2003 IEEE Information Theory Workshop (Cat. No.03EX674), 2004
Motivated by recent advances in quantum cryptography with continuous variables, we study the problem of extracting a shared digital secret key from two correlated real values. Alice has access to a real value, X/sub A/, and Bob to another value, X/sub B/, such that I(X/sub A/; X/sub B/)>0.

GAN-Based Key Secret-Sharing Scheme in Blockchain

IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, 2021
In this article, we propose a key secret-sharing technology based on generative adversarial networks (GANs) to address three major problems in the blockchain: 1) low security; 2) hard recovery of lost keys; and 3) low communication efficiency. In our scheme, the proposed network plays the role of a dealer and treats the secret-sharing process as a ...

Key-Exchange Authentication Using Shared Secrets

Computer, 2006
Transport Layer Security standard provides connection security with peer entity authentication, data confidentiality and integrity, key generation and distribution, and security parameters negotiation. Its native integration in browsers and Web servers makes TLS the most frequently deployed security protocol.

Quantum Secret Sharing of Key in Networks

2011 Symposium on Photonics and Optoelectronics (SOPO), 2011
Quantum secret sharing is a important problem in the quantum cryptography. We analyzed two kinds of practical quantum secret sharing protocols without entanglement. And their combination could be a basic unit in the quantum secret sharing network, which is potential in practical applications.

Generalized secret sharing and group-key distribution using short keys

Proceedings. Compression and Complexity of SEQUENCES 1997 (Cat. No.97TB100171), 2002
We relate two basic primitives: generalized secret sharing and group-key distribution. We suggest cryptographic implementations for both and show that they are provably secure according to exact definitions and assumptions given in the present paper. Both solutions require small secret space (namely, short keys).

Tamper-proof secret image-sharing scheme for identifying cheated secret keys and shared images

Journal of Electronic Imaging, 2013
A (t,n) secret image-sharing scheme shares a secret image to n participants, and the t users recover the image. During the recovery procedure of a conventional secret image-sharing scheme, cheaters may use counterfeit secret keys or modified shared images to cheat other users’ secret keys and shared images. A cheated secret key or shared image leads to

Secret Image Sharing with Embedded Session Key

2011
In today’s scenario many secret image files are needed to be transmitted over internet for various important purposes. So protection of these files is an important issue. Efficient cryptographic methods are there to protect data but every thing depends on the protection of encryption key.

Conference Key Agreement from Secret Sharing

1999
The work proposes new conference key agreement protocols based on secret sharing. We discuss roles of the dealer and recovery algorithms in the trust structure which is the necessary condition for any key establishment protocol to achieve the intended security goals.

Quantum secret sharing with shared key dependent on receivers

2011 Seventh International Conference on Natural Computation, 2011
A novel quantum secret sharing scheme between one and many parties with four states is proposed. Different from existing schemes, the bit value of shared key in this scheme depends on the operations done by the receivers, say Bobs, not the preparer Alice, which is highly applicable in some cases.

Dynamic Key Generations for Secret Sharing in Access Structures

19th International Conference on Advanced Information Networking and Applications (AINA'05) Volume 1 (AINA papers), 2005
In a secret sharing scheme based upon access structures, each group has an authorization and only the participants who stayed in an authorized access structure can recover the secret key. In this paper, we proposed an efficient scheme for secret sharing based upon access structures.
