Shear Capacity Study on Double-Nut Stud Shear Connector

Advanced Materials Research, 2012
A new stud—double-nut stud was present. The goals of the study were two fold, firstly to compare with traditional stud and secondly to search the affect factors of capacity, get calculation equations .We present an analysis of double-nut stud, include different concrete strength and different stud size.

08.16: Static shear capacity of small‐scaled pin shear connectors

ce/papers, 2017
ABSTRACTThrough the use of high‐strength steel as well as high‐strength (HSC) and ultra‐high‐performance concrete (UHPC) in composite constructions slender, wide spanning and highly sustainable composite surface elements can be implemented for the use in architecturally sophisticated structures.

Shear Capacity – Crossing Borders

2017
In order to get the Eurocodes accepted, it was necessary to allow national choices with regard to parameters where no agreement between the countries involved could be reached. For the determination of the shear capacity EN1992-1-1 defines eight parameters subject to national choices (and EN1992-2 even introduces two more).

Shear Capacity of Bridge Deck Cantilever Slabs without Shear Reinforcement

IABSE Reports, 2013
<p>Rising traffic loads have increased the requirements for the load-carrying capacity of bridges significantly. Furthermore, German design code rules have changed during the last decades reducing the calculated shear capacities of reinforced concrete members without shear reinforcement.

High shear capacity ribbed piles

2012
Ribbed bored piles are known to give increased shaft capacity in comparison to conventional straight shafted bored piles. The commercial benefit of greater pile capacity is cheaper foundations. Significant environmental benefits will also accrue from the use of efficient foundations that are able to carry higher load, leading to less excavation and ...
