Shear performance of replaced bolt shear connectors in prefabricated composite beam

IABSE Reports, 2022
<p>Bolt shear connectors have the advantage of efficient installation and demolition when used in prefabricated composite beams. When bolt shear connectors are damaged in the service period and replaced by new ones, the sheer performance of the replaced bolts will be affected by the existing structural damage.

Experimental investigation on shear performance of transverse angle shear connectors

Structures, 2021
Abstract To overcome the concrete casting obstruction of the bottom slabs in prestressed concrete box-girders with corrugated steel webs (CSWs), transverse angle shear connectors were adopted in some cases. The overall behavior of such steel–concrete structures highly depended on the shear behavior of the connectors.

POSTER: High-performance implementations for shear-shear correlation calculation

2014 IEEE International Conference on Cluster Computing (CLUSTER), 2014
Cosmology is a data intensive field that will become more so in the coming years. In this scenario, GPU-computing is becoming very relevant for analysing large catalogs within a reasonable amount of time. In this work, we investigate the acceleration of the analysis by using a hybrid MPI-CUDA implementation.

Foamed bitumen mixes = shear performance?

International Journal of Pavement Engineering, 2007
Road rehabilitation technology is currently under the global spotlight. Considering that cold bituminous binders, e.g. emulsion and foamed bitumen, have become more commonly used in cold recycling operations, there is a need to understand the performance properties of these materials.

Cyclic Performances of Shear Connectors

Composite Construction in Steel and Concrete VI, 2011
Natural cyclic loads such as strong winds and earthquakes can cause changes in bending moment signs in composite structural elements. Consequently, the connectors will be subjected to alternate shear forces. For this reason, the cyclic behavior of shear connectors is particularly important in these loading conditions.

Investigation of shear performance of UHPC by direct shear tests

Engineering Structures, 2019
Abstract Ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC) has been applied widely in modern structure construction. The outstanding mechanical properties of UHPC not only enable strong yet slim structural designs but also highlight its potential in protective structural constructions against extreme loads.
