Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Errors in Monte Carlo simulations using shift register random number generators

open access: yes, 1995
We report large systematic errors in Monte Carlo simulations of the tricritical Blume-Capel model using single spin Metropolis updating. The error, manifest as a $20\%$ asymmetry in the magnetisation distribution, is traced to the interplay between ...

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

Scrambling and De-Scrambling Implementation Using Linear Feedback Shift Register Method on FPGA

open access: yesIJAIT (International Journal of Applied Information Technology), 2017
Digital broadband communications require a fast, functional and efficient system. In a digital communication system, a long sequence of bits '0' or '1' will inherits the loss of bit synchronization, and hence it can cause the false detection on the ...

Shift work and use of psychotropic medicine: a follow-up study with register linkage

open access: yesScandinavian Journal of Work, Environment & Health, 2020
OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to investigate a prospective association between shift work and use of psychotropic medicine. METHODS: Survey data from random samples of the general working population of Denmark (N=19 259) were linked to data from national ...

A simplified, compact static shift register [PDF]

open access: yes, 1972
Shift register was developed which uses only one D type flip-flop and improves packaging density by approximately 25% over the usual arrangement. Circuit is compromise between full master-slave arrangement and dynamic shift register, with limitation only

Short-Term Memory in Orthogonal Neural Networks

open access: yes, 2004
We study the ability of linear recurrent networks obeying discrete time dynamics to store long temporal sequences that are retrievable from the instantaneous state of the network.
