Shift Design and Driver Scheduling Problem

open access: yes, 2018
Scheduling problem and shift design problems are well known NP-hard problems within the optimization area. Often time, the two problems are studied individually. In this thesis however, we are looking at the combination of both problems. More specifically, the aim of this thesis is to suggest an optimal scheduling policy given that there are no ...

Cohort‐Scale Spatial Autocorrelation for Tumor Prediction in Mid‐Infrared Pathology and Spatial Biomarker Discovery Using MALDI Imaging Lipidomics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Computational annotation of various tissue types in heterogeneous samples such as colorectal cancer liver metastasis (CRLM) using spatial autocorrelation analysis on non‐destructive mid‐infrared (MIR) imaging data enabled correlative multimodal mass spectrometry imaging (MSI) for spatial investigation of lipid tumor marker candidates. The method can be

Distinct Immunomodulatory Strategies Guide Mesenchymal Stromal/Stem Cell‐Mediated Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Bone regeneration by mesenchymal stem cells is strongly influenced by immune signals. This study shows that priming stem cells with regulatory immune cells or an inflammation‐resolving lipid molecule enhances bone formation through distinct immune pathways.

His‐MMDM: Multi‐Domain and Multi‐Omics Translation of Histopathological Images with Diffusion Models

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
His‐MMDM is a diffusion model‐based framework for scalable multi‐domain and multi‐omics translation of histopathological images, enabling tasks from virtual staining, cross‐tumor knowledge transfer, and omics‐guided image editing. ABSTRACT Generative AI (GenAI) has advanced computational pathology through various image translation models.
