Application of Ship Motion Simulation in Reliability Assessment of Ship Entrance into the Port [PDF]

open access: yesTransNav, 2016
The growing number of large container vessels is the reason of port infrastructure modernization necessity and changes of local bylaws in ports. The accessibility studies based on ship motion simulation allow for the assessment of manoeuvring operations ...

The use of real time digital simulation and hardware in the loop to de-risk novel control algorithms [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Low power demonstrators are commonly used to validate novel control algorithms. However, the response of the demonstrator to network transients and faults is often unexplored. The importance of this work has, in the past, justified facilities such as the

Hadamard Matrix Slicing Single‐Pixel Imaging: Establishing a Linear‐Array‐Inspired Paradigm for N‐fold Acceleration Single‐Pixel Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
To overcome two‐dimensional modulation bottlenecks, Hadamard Matrix Slicing Single‐Pixel Imaging (HMS‐SPI) establishes an efficient one‐dimensional imaging paradigm. By slicing the traditional Hadamard matrix into one‐dimensional encoding vectors and spatially expanding them, the required measurement patterns decrease by a factor of N.
