Transient Foreshock Structures Upstream of Mars: Implications of the Small Martian Bow Shock
The typical subsolar stand‐off distance of Mars' bow shock is of the order of a solar wind ion convective gyroradius, making it highly non‐planar to incident ions.

Uncertainty Shocks are Aggregate Demand Shocks [PDF]
Abstract Search frictions in the labor market give rise to a new option-value channel through which uncertainty affects aggregate economic activity, and the effects of which are reinforced by the presence of nominal rigidities. With these features, an increase in uncertainty resembles an aggregate demand shock because it increases unemployment and ...

Simulation of compressible and incompressible flows in the presence of shocks [PDF]
The purpose of the present work is to use a finite volume method for solving Euler equations in the presence of shocks and discontinuities, with a generalized equation of state. This last choice allows to treat both compressible and incompressible fluids.

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Stochastic Shocks and Oil Revenue Management in Iran; A Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium Approach [PDF]
The main objective of this study is to evaluate the impact of oil revenue, productivity and money growth rate shocks on macroeconomic variables, in the context of a DSGE model with the consideration of features such as big size of government activities ...
