Adventitious shoot regeneration fromFagus sylvatica leaf explantsin vitro
Adventitious shoots were induced on transversally divided expanding leaves fromFagus sylvatica shoot cultures of juvenile origin. Adventitious shoot buds formed mainly on callus that developed on the petiole stump or on the cut across the midrib of distal leaf halves. However, sometimes they arose directly from leaf tissue.

Based on allantoin‐loaded ZIF8 nanoparticles (Alla@ZIF8) and methacrylated quaternary ammonium carboxymethyl chitosan/resveratrol composite hydrogels (RMQCC), an adaptive multifunctional hydrogel system (Alla@ZIF8‐Gel) was constructed and confirmed to induce the healing of MRSA‐infected wounds via suppressing bacterial proliferation, alleviating ...

Arabidopsis thaliana in vitro shoot regeneration is impaired by silencing of TIR1
Arabidopsis shoots regenerate from root explants through a two-step process consisting of pre-incubation on an auxin-rich callus induction medium (CIM), followed by transfer to a cytokinin-rich shoot induction medium (SIM).

Tissue culture of oil palm : finding the balance between mass propagation and somaclonal variation [PDF]
The oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) is typically propagated in vitro by indirect somatic embryogenesis, a process in which somatic cells of an explant of choice are, via an intermediate phase of callus growth, induced to differentiate into somatic ...

Direct shoot regeneration of three Petunia cultivars
A tissue culture system for acquiring high efficiency regeneration of Petunia was optimized. Leaf explants of Alvan, Large Flower Alvan (LF Alvan) and Mahalat cultivars of Petunia hybrida were cultured separately on MS medium including various concentrations of TDZ and BA without auxin in order to assess direct shoot regeneration.

Metarhizium anisopliae alleviates the phytotoxic effects of polyethylene nanoplastics (NP) and lead (Pb) in rice by decreasing Pb uptake, restoring antioxidant and hormonal equilibrium, and promoting growth. Additionally, the fungus modifies the rhizosphere microbiota, enhancing both contaminant tolerance and plant growth, thereby effectively ...

Shoot regeneration in calli derived from immature barley embryos is regulated by light conditions during the callus-induction period. Barley cultivars Kanto Nijo-5 (KN5) and K-3 (K3) showed lower efficiency of shoot regeneration in a 16-h photoperiod ...

Resident myonuclei are the molecular “control centers” for large multinuclear muscle fibers. It is presumed that, with aging, these control centers become compromised and contribute to delayed or blunted muscle adaptive potential. This study is a detailed roadmap that exposes how young versus aged myonuclei respond to a hypertrophic loading stimulus ...
