High frequency adventitious shoot regeneration in sainfoin
Plant Cell, Tissue and Organ Culture, 1998A procedure is described for the rapid and efficient adventitious shoot regeneration from leaflets, petioles and stems of field-grown sainfoin plants. All explants formed shoots on a range of media supplemented with 6-benzyladenine (BA) and α-naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA).

Regeneration of the Potato Shoot Apex
Nature, 1952MR. I. M. SUSSEX1 propounds a problem of great importance and interest, but the main conclusion which he draws from his skilful experiments appears open to question. He has found that in shoots of potato lateral portions of the apical meristem which are separated by longitudinal cuts from the main part are often prevented from regenerating by the ...

Studies on shoot regeneration of lupins (Lupinus spp.)
Plant Cell Reports, 1985Tests have been made to regenerate plants from different lupin species using leaf, leaf petiole and hypocotyl tissue of L. polyphyllus, L. hartwegii, L. angustifolius and L. luteus. Callus induction rates have been high with all plant parts from all tested lupin species. Regeneration success has been rather limited.

Predictive correlates of shoot regeneration from potato protoplast culture
Plant Cell Reports, 1996Adaptation of protoplast regeneration systems for use on untested or recalcitrant potato genotypes can be a time-consuming exercise. Callus growth and xylogenesis were evaluated as early correlates of shooting potential to shorten this process. Callus growth was of limited value for predicting organogenesis but a linear relationship was observed ...

In vitro phyllomorphic regeneration of shoot buds and shoots in Picea abies
Physiologia Plantarum, 1980AbstractNeedles (10–15 mm) of frost‐hardened 20–22‐week‐old (physiological age equivalent to 1 year) plants of Picea abies L. excised just after flushing, were induced to form adventitious shoot buds and shoots on media supplemented with BAP (6‐benzylaminopurine) and NAA (1‐napthaleneacetic acid).

Plant regeneration from shoot tips and callus of papaya
In Vitro, 1977Two methods of in vitro culture were employed to regenerate papaya plants. One involved regeneration of plants from callus and the other, production of multiple plants from single shoot-tip explants. Callus was induced from stem sections of papaya seedlings in a medium containing 1 mg per 1 NAA and 0.1 mg per 1 kinetin.

High frequency shoot regeneration in Agave sisalana
Plant Cell, Tissue and Organ Culture, 1997Callus cultures of Agave sisalana were initiated from rhizome, and stem explants on MS, SH, Gamborg and White's medium supplemented with different concentrations of BA, kinetin, NAA, IAA and 2,4-D either in combination or singly. Optimum numbers of shoots were obtained from stem and rhizome explants either directly or from callus.

Enhanced shoot regeneration from Brassica campestris by silver nitrate
Plant Cell Reports, 1992The morphogenetic response of Brassica campestris genotype R500 to inhibitors of ethylene biosynthesis and action was investigated. A medium containing 1.0 mg.l(-1) NAA, 2.0 mg.l(-1) BAP, and 30 or 60 μM AgNO3 significantly enhanced both the percentage shoot regeneration and the number of shoots per cotyledon expiant.
