A study of extended zodiacal structures [PDF]
Observations of cometary dust trails and zodiacal dust bands, discovered by the Infrared Astronomical Satellite (IRAS) were analyzed in a continuing effort to understand their nature and relationship to comets, asteroids, and processes effecting those ...

Redox Regulation and Oxidative Stress in Health and Disease: Mechanisms and Therapeutic Targeting
Reactive species serve crucial roles which are tightly regulated in both physiological as well as disease states. At physiological levels, these species are integral to redox signaling, while uncontrolled redox promotes disease pathology. This review examines the dysregulation of these processes.

Terrestrial Analogs to Titan for Geophysical Research
Abstract Saturn's moon Titan exhibits remarkable parallels to the Earth in many geophysical and geological processes not found elsewhere in the solar system at the present day. These include a nitrogen atmosphere with a condensible gas—methane—replacing the Earth's water, leading to an active meteorology with rainfall and surface manifestations ...

Long-term orbital evolution of short-period comets found in Project Cosmo-DICE [PDF]
Orbital evolutions of about 160 short-period (SP) comets are numerically integrated for 4400 years in the framework of a realistic dynamical model. By the round-trip error in closure test, a reliable time space of the integrated orbits is estimated for ...

Preliminary Results from NEOWISE: An Enhancement to the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer for Solar System Science [PDF]
The Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE) has surveyed the entire sky at four infrared wavelengths with greatly improved sensitivity and spatial resolution compared to its predecessors, the Infrared Astronomical Satellite and the Cosmic Background ...

Three weeks of fasting‐mimicking diet in female C57BL/6J mice increased pancreatic BNR4+ cells, PDX1+BRN4+ cells and insulin+glucagon+ cells after fasting in fluorescent multiplexed immunohistochemistry. Mice showed impaired glucose tolerance after fasting but not after refeeding after 2 weeks.

TRIM25 acts as a multifunctional hub driving intervertebral disc degeneration under mechanical stress. Mechanical compression significantly upregulates TRIM25 expression, establishing it as a key E3 ubiquitin ligase platform. TRIM25 targets PARG and Ku80 via distinct molecular interfaces, triggering their ubiquitination and degradation.

A Dormant Captured Oort Cloud Comet Awakens: (18916) 2000 OG44
We report the discovery of activity emanating from (18916) 2000 OG _44 (alternately designated 1977 SD), a minor planet previously reported to be both an extinct comet and an asteroid on a cometary orbit. We observed 2000 OG _44 with a thin tail oriented

Rotation of split cometary nuclei [PDF]
A simple model for the rotational motion of split cometary nuclei is studied. A large-amplitude precession is easily excited due to the change of the moments of inertia even if the perturbation is small at the splitting.
