Three palm mid-fraction (PMF) groups produced from different fractionation paths were analyzed in terms of the fat, triacylglycerol and sn-2 fatty acid compositions, thermal properties (melting and crystallization behaviors, and solid fat contents (SFCs))

Trans fatty acid isomers from hydrogenated fats: The controversy about health implications
Wherever there is a double bond in a fatty acid, there is also a possibility for isomerization. Under partial hydrogenation triacylglycerols composing oils'double bonds may change from cis to trans configuration, therefore products derived from ...

Rheological, chemical and DSC thermal characteristics of different types of palm oil/palm stearin-based shortenings [PDF]
This study was carried out to evaluate the physical and chemical properties of different types of shortenings, formulated by mixing refined, bleached, and deodorized palm oil and palm stearin (PO:PS) in the following ratios: 100:0, 80:20, 60:40, 50 ...

Spectrum of Type IIB Supergravity on AdS_5 x T^{11}: Predictions on N = 1 SCFT's
We derive the full Kaluza-Klein spectrum of type IIB supergravity compactified on AdS_5 x T^{11} with T^{11} = (SU(2) x SU(2))/U(1). From the knowledge of the spectrum and general multiplet shortening conditions, we make a refined test of the AdS/CFT ...

Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.

We present families of quantum error-correcting codes which are optimal in the sense that the minimum distance is maximal. These maximum distance separable (MDS) codes are defined over q-dimensional quantum systems, where q is an arbitrary prime power ...

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...
