CollisionāResilient Winged Drones Enabled by Tensegrity Structures
Based on structures of birds such as the woodpeck, this article presents the collisionāresilient aerial robot, SWIFT. SWIFT leverages tensegrity structures in the fuselage and wings which allow it to undergo large deformations in a crash, without sustaining damage. Experiments show that SWIFT can reduce impact forces by 70% over conventional structures.

Management and Prognostic Factors for Delayed Reconstruction of Neglected Posterior Shoulder Fracture-Dislocation [PDF]
Introduction: Posterior fracture-dislocations of the shoulder are rare conditions. Misdiagnosis can occur in 50% - 80% of the patients. Due to the size of the lesion, stability of the joint could not be achieved with transfer of subscapular tendon or ...

A Canine Musculoskeletal Robot for Investigating Biomechanical Functions During Locomotion
In this study, a dog limb musculoskeletal robot was developed using thin McKibben artificial muscles to investigate the effects of the dog's musculoskeletal structure on walking. Walking experiments were conducted in both indoor and outdoor environments, suggesting that the flexible structure of the dog's shoulders contributes to an increase in stroke ...
