Arginine Methylation Antagonizes TEAD3‐Mediated Repression to Promote Osteogenic Differentiation by Disrupting RUNX2‐Sequestrating Condensates

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In the unmethylated state, TEAD forms stable, repressive condensates that sequester the osteogenic master regulator RUNX2. Arginine methylation of TEAD at R55 acts as a molecular brake, dissolving these condensates to release RUNX2 and activate the osteogenic program.

A new species of pisang shrimp, Penaeus symplex revealed by molecular DNA analyses, as candidate species for aquaculture in Indonesia [PDF]

open access: yesBIO Web of Conferences
In Indonesia there are two species mainly farmed, these are Penaeus monodon and Litopenaeus vannamei. Due to disease outbreaks which were mainly caused by viruses, shrimp aquaculture is become a high risk, therefore is a need to find new species. Unknown

Shrimp Culture of Penaeus Monodon with Zero Water Exchange Model (Zwem) Using Molasses [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
One of the main obstacles to develop an intensive aquaculture is the accumulation of toxic inorganic nitrogenwhich should be kept very low by frequent water exchange or recycling of the water through a biofilter. This study describes another method of ...

Identification of a Force‐Induced Sox9+Acan+ Transitional Subpopulation Linked to FGF2–FGFR2–ERK Signaling in Orthodontic Bone Remodeling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Mechanical loading induces a previously unrecognized Sox9+Acan+ transitional mesenchymal cell population in the periodontal ligament that promotes osteoclastogenesis via the FGF2–FGFR2–ERK axis. Targeting this mechanoresponsive stromal population using a localized GelMA@siRNA delivery strategy attenuates pathological osteoclast overactivation and root ...

Optimal N/P Ratio of the Shrimp Culture Waste Fertilizer For Growth Rate of Spirulina platensis

open access: yesJournal of Marine and Coastal Science
The cultivation of vaname shrimp produces waste with a high nutrient content. This waste can be used as fertilizer in microalgae culture like Sprulina platensis.

Co‐Treatment With rhBMP‐2 and Rapamycin Modulates Osteogenesis–Adipogenesis Balance to Enhance Aged Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that the imbalance between osteogenic and adipogenic differentiation in senescent BMSCs, leading to excessive adipocyte accumulation, which subsequently impairs bone regeneration in aged mice. To address this pathological dysregulation, a novel energy‐supplying hydrogel system (PBR) has been developed to restore balanced ...

Budidaya Udang Vannamei (Litopenaeus vannamei) Semiintensif dengan Metode Sirkulasi Tertutup Untuk Menghindari Serangan Virus
[The Semiintensive Culture Of Litopenaeus vannamei By Closed Circulation Method To Prevent Virus Attack]

open access: yesJurnal Ilmiah Perikanan dan Kelautan, 2009
The failure of vannamei shrimp culture often caused by virus attack, i.e. WSSV, TSV and IMNV. So that it need an alternative method like closed circulation method and probiotic application.

Diversification of Fish Culture and Exports among Major Shrimp-producing Countries of Asia: A Spatial and Temporal Analysis [PDF]

open access: yes
Asian countries contribute nearly 90 per cent to global production of culture fisheries. Diversification of species is not happening in fish culture because of the high value shrimp commands in the export market.
