Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox

CONVERGENCE OF HEALTH EXPENDITURE IN EU 12 AND V4 STATES
The subject of this paper is an attempt to assess the level of convergence of government health spending in the European Union countries. The ever-increasing level of life expectancy, demographic changes, including the aging of society in many European ...

Stochastic sigma-convergence and applications
Motivated by the fact that in nature almost all phenomena behave randomly in some scales and deterministically in some other scales, we build up a framework suitable to tackle both deterministic and stochastic homogenization problems simultaneously, and also separately.

ATF4‐mediated stress response as a therapeutic vulnerability in chordoma
We screened 5 chordoma cell lines against 100+ inhibitors of epigenetic and metabolic pathways and kinases and identified halofuginone, a tRNA synthetase inhibitor. Mechanistically halofuginone induces an integrated stress response, with eIF2alpha phosphorylation, activation of ATF4 and its target genes CHOP, ASNS, INHBE leading to cell death ...

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Homogenization of a 2D Tidal Dynamics Equation
This work deals with the homogenization of two dimensions’ tidal equations. We study the asymptotic behavior of the sequence of the solutions using the sigma-convergence method.

Dynamics of the symmetric eigenvalue problem with shift strategies [PDF]
A common algorithm for the computation of eigenvalues of real symmetric tridiagonal matrices is the iteration of certain special maps $F_\sigma$ called shifted $QR$ steps. Such maps preserve spectrum and a natural common domain is ${\cal T}_\Lambda$, the

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve
