Inter-subject registration and application of the SIGMA rat brain atlas for regional labeling in functional ultrasound imaging

open access: yesJournal of Neuroscience Methods, 2021
Recent advances using functional ultrasound (fUS) imaging have opened new avenues to evaluate brain activity through the regional monitoring of cerebral blood volume (CBV) dynamics. In particular, this technology paves the way for understanding physiological or pathological cerebral processes or exploring the pharmacological profiles of new drugs ...

Astatine-211-labeled aza-vesamicol derivatives as sigma receptor ligands for targeted alpha therapy

Nuclear Medicine and Biology, 2023
As sigma receptors are abundantly expressed on different types of cancer cells, several radiolabeled sigma receptor ligands have been developed for cancer imaging and therapy. Previously, we synthesized and evaluated radioiodinated aza-vesamicol derivatives, [125I]pIC3NV, [125I]mIC2N5V, and [125I]mIC3N5V.

Sigma-2 receptor and progesterone receptor membrane component 1 (PGRMC1) are two different proteins: Proofs by fluorescent labeling and binding of sigma-2 receptor ligands to PGRMC1

open access: yesPharmacological Research, 2017
A controversial relationship between sigma-2 and progesterone receptor membrane component 1 (PGRMC1) proteins, both representing promising targets for the therapy and diagnosis of tumors, exists since 2011, when the sigma-2 receptor was reported to be identical to PGRMC1. Because a misidentification of these proteins will lead to biased future research

Brain σ receptors labelled by [3H]nemonapride

European Journal of Pharmacology, 1996
Binding of [3H]nemonapride and [3H]raclopride was examined in the brain areas of three species (rat, cow and human). The results indicated that [3H]nemonapride binding is inhibited by selective sigma receptor ligands in frontal cortex, striatum and cerebellum. Only the striatum showed significant dopaminergic sites as defined by sulpiride.

Reanalysis of the A 1 Sigma +u state of Na2 by polarization labelling spectroscopy

Molecular Physics, 1996
The polarization labelling spectroscopy technique is applied to study the A ¹Σu + – X ¹Σg + band system of sodium dimer. Six visible lines of an argon ion laser are used to label rovibronic levels in the ground state of Na2. Rotationally resolved polarization spectra are observed in the range 14200–17600 cm-1. A set of Dunham coefficients is deduced to

3H-spiperone labels sigma receptors, not dopamine D2 receptors, in rat and human lymphocytes

Immunopharmacology, 1991
3H-Spiperone binds to dopamine D2 receptors in striatum and, under the assumption that it labels the same receptors in lymphocytes, this binding site has been suggested as a biological marker for schizophrenia. Recent studies, however, have raised questions about the existence of dopamine receptor changes in drug-free schizophrenic patients, as well as

Pharmacological comparison of the sigma recognition site labelled by [3H]haloperidol in human and rat cerebellum

Naunyn-Schmiedeberg's Archives of Pharmacology, 1992
The radioligand binding characteristics of [3H]haloperidol (in the presence of spiperone, 25 nmolL-1) were investigated in rat and human cerebellar membranes. In both rat and human cerebellar membrane preparations saturation studies with [3H]haloperidol (non-specific binding defined by pentazocine, 10 mumolsL-1) demonstrated high affinity saturable ...
