Quantum distillation of Hilbert spaces, semi-classics and anomaly matching

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
A symmetry-twisted boundary condition of the path integral provides a suitable framework for the semi-classical analysis of nonperturbative quantum field theories (QFTs), and we reinterpret it from the viewpoint of the Hilbert space. An appropriate twist

The optical model potential of the $Σ$ hyperon in nuclear matter [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2009
We present our attempts to determine the optical model potential $U_\Sigma = V_\Sigma -iW_\Sigma$ of the $\Sigma$ hyperon in nuclear matter. We analyze the following sources of information on $U_\Sigma$: $\Sigma N$ scattering, $\Sigma^-$ atoms, and final state interaction of $\Sigma$ hyperons in the $(\pi,K^+)$ and $(K^-.\pi)$ reactions on nuclear ...

Persistence in systems with algebraic interaction [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
Persistence in coarsening 1D spin systems with a power law interaction $r^{-1-\sigma}$ is considered. Numerical studies indicate that for sufficiently large values of the interaction exponent $\sigma$ ($\sigma\geq 1/2$ in our simulations), persistence decays as an algebraic function of the length scale $L$, $P(L)\sim L^{-\theta}$.

KRAS and GNAS mutations in cell‐free DNA and in circulating epithelial cells in patients with intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms—an observational pilot study

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that KRAS and GNAS mutations are more prevalent in patients with resected intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMN) compared to those under clinical surveillance. GNAS mutations significantly differ between the two patient cohorts, indicating that their absence may serve as a potential biomarker to support conservative ...

Topological terms of (2+1)d flag-manifold sigma models

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
We examine topological terms of (2 + 1)d sigma models and their consequences in the light of classifications of invertible quantum field theories utilizing bordism groups.

A brief review of supersymmetric non-linear sigma models and generalized complex geometry [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
This is a review of the relation between supersymmetric non-linear sigma models and target space geometry. In particular, we report on the derivation of generalized K\"ahler geometry from sigma models with additional spinorial superfields.

Rigidly Supersymmetric Gauge Theories on Curved Superspace [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In this note we construct rigidly supersymmetric gauged sigma models and gauge theories on certain Einstein four-manifolds, and discuss constraints on these theories.

On‐treatment dynamics of circulating extracellular vesicles in the first‐line setting of patients with advanced non‐small cell lung cancer: the LEXOVE prospective study

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The LEXOVE prospective study evaluated plasma cell‐free extracellular vesicle (cfEV) dynamics using Bradford assay and dynamic light scattering in metastatic non‐small cell lung cancer patients undergoing first‐line treatments, correlating a ∆cfEV < 20% with improved median progression‐free survival in responders versus non‐responders.

ON RENORMALIZATION OF POISSON–LIE T-PLURAL SIGMA MODELS

open access: yesActa Polytechnica, 2013
Covariance of the one-loop renormalization group equations with respect to Poisson–Lie T-plurality of sigma models is discussed. The role of ambiguities in renormalization group equations of Poisson–Lie sigma models with truncated matrices of parameters ...

Dualization of the principal sigma model [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Physics, 2008
The first-order formulation of the principal sigma model with a Lie group target space is performed. By using the dualization of the algebra and the field content of the theory the field equations which are solely written in terms of the field strengths are realized through an extended symmetry algebra parametrization.
