Comparative Evaluation of Hemodiafiltration, Hemoperfusion, and Standard Hemodialysis on Efficacy, Inflammatory Control, Dialysis Adequacy, and Safety in End‐Stage Renal Disease: A Prospective Observational Study

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Chronic micro‐inflammation in patients with end‐stage renal disease (ESRD) is a significant driver of cardiovascular complications and diminished quality of life. While standard hemodialysis (SHD) effectively manages small‐molecule clearance, its ability to remove medium‐to‐large uremic toxins—the primary catalysts of systemic ...

INFLUENCE OF COLD WORK ON SIGMA PHASE FORMATION IN DUPLEX STAINLESS STEEL [PDF]

open access: yesTecnologia em Metalurgia, Materiais e Mineração, 2012
The formation of sigma phase in duplex stainless steels during isothermal aging is widely reported in the literature, but the influence of strain hardening prior to aging on the kinetics of formation of this phase was not a subject of systematic ...

INSTANTON DYNAMICS IN THE BROKEN PHASE OF THE TOPOLOGICAL SIGMA MODEL [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics A, 1996
The topological σ model with the black hole metric of the target space is considered. It has been shown before that this model is in the phase with BRST symmetry broken. In particular, the vacuum energy is nonzero and correlation functions of observables show the coordinate dependence. However, these quantities turn out to be infrared-divergent. It is

Hydrogen effect on the sigma-phase in Fe53.8Cr46.2 [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Alloys and Compounds, 2009
Abstract Investigation of the stability and properties of a sigma-phase type compound Fe 53.8 Cr 46.2 after electrochemical hydrogen treatment was made using X-ray diffraction and 57 Fe Mossbauer spectroscopy techniques. The amount of the hydrogen uptake was estimated to be equal to ∼1.2H per unit formula, and its presence leads to an anisotropic

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Minimasi Defect Produk Dengan Konsep Six Sigma

open access: yesJurnal Teknik Industri, 2012
Company can be competitive in industry with giving a product which pursuit with the specification and have no defect, in order to produce product which have good and uniform quality existed variance had to be minimized.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.
