Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Solutions for a Logarithmic Fractional Schrödinger-Poisson System with Asymptotic Potential

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
In this paper, we consider a logarithmic fractional Schrödinger-Poisson system where the potential is a sign-changing function. When the potential is coercive, we get the existence of infinitely many solutions for the system.

Sign-changing solutions for a class of Schrödinger equations with vanishing potentials

open access: yesRendiconti Lincei, Matematica e Applicazioni, 2018
In this paper we consider a class of fractional Schrödinger equations with potentials vanishing at infinity. By using a minimization argument and a quantitative Deformation Lemma, we prove the existence of a sign-changing solution.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Multiple solutions for eigenvalue problems involving an indefinite potential and with (p1(x), p2(x)) balanced growth

open access: yesAnalele Stiintifice ale Universitatii Ovidius Constanta: Seria Matematica, 2019
In this paper we are concerned with the study of the spectrum for a class of eigenvalue problems driven by two non-homogeneous differential operators with different variable growth and an indefinite potential in the following ...

Differential expression of cancer‐related genes supports prediction of poor response to first‐line treatments in T‐ALL pediatric patients with high minimal residual disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...

Infinitely many solutions for fractional Schrodinger-Poisson systems with sign-changing potential

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2017
In this article, we prove the existence of multiple solutions for following fractional Schrodinger-Poisson system with sign-changing potential $$\displaylines{ (-\Delta)^s u+V(x)u+\lambda\phi u=f(x,u),\quad x\in\mathbb{R}^3,\cr (-\Delta)^t\phi=u^2 ...
