Automated Modelling of Signal Transduction Networks [PDF]
Background: Intracellular signal transduction is achieved by networks of proteins and small molecules that transmit information from the cell surface to the nucleus, where they ultimately effect transcriptional changes. Understanding the mechanisms cells

Understanding the multifaceted nature of peptide hydrogels in biomedical research
Hydrogels are networks of three-dimensional cross-linked polymers, which possess the capacity to absorb and retain water. Hydrogels have proven to be adaptable and versatile, making them useful in various biomedical applications such as tissue

ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Imperial strategy of cancer cells through mitochondrial transfer
Cangkrama et al. demonstrated that cancer cells donate their mitochondria to fibroblasts through mitochondrial transfer, reprogramming them into ‘MitoCAF’. Likewise, our group has identified mitochondrial transfer from cancer cells to tumor infiltrating lymphocytes, resulting in mitochondrial ‘hijack’ and impaired antitumor immunity.

TTT and R2TP chaperone complexes are required for the assembly and activation of mTORC1. WAC directly interacts with components of TTT, R2TP, and mTORC1, and these interactions are affected by the availability of glucose and glutamine, correlating with changes in mTORC1 activity.
