Signature Recognition for Banking System

open access: yesInternational Journal for Research in Applied Science and Engineering Technology, 2022
Abstract: The use of signatures for personal identification and verification is very common. Verifying signatures is necessary for many documents, including legal transactions and bank checks. The authentication of several papers using signatures is an extremely challenging and time-consuming job.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Towards Real-Time and Rotation-Invariant American Sign Language Alphabet Recognition Using a Range Camera

open access: yesSensors, 2012
The automatic interpretation of human gestures can be used for a natural interaction with computers while getting rid of mechanical devices such as keyboards and mice.

Off-Line Arabic Signature Recognition Based on Invariant Moments Properties [PDF]

open access: yesEngineering and Technology Journal, 2011
In this paper, a number of persons were selected to use their signature as a database for the work. Six signatures were taken from each person through two separated period of time using the same pen and paper.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Biyometrik Güvenlik Sistemlerinin İncelenmesi

open access: yesDüzce Üniversitesi Bilim ve Teknoloji Dergisi, 2015
Biyometrik sistemler, bireylerin fiziksel ve davranışsal özelliklerini tanımlayarak kimliklendirme yapan sistemlerdir. En yaygın kullanılanları ise parmak izi, el geometrisi, ses, retina, yüz, imza vb. biyometriklerdir.

Improved shape-signature and matching methods for model-based robotic vision [PDF]

open access: yes
Researchers describe new techniques for curve matching and model-based object recognition, which are based on the notion of shape-signature. The signature which researchers use is an approximation of pointwise curvature.

Vectorial Signatures for Pattern Recognition [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Due to the variety of shapes and sizes that present both living organisms and static objects, the necessity to look for automated systems of identification, both in industry and scientific research has arisen. During the 1960s, the scientific community in the field of optics has used the Fourier transform and other types of mathematical transformations

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.
