Personal Identification based on Multi Biometric Traits [PDF]

open access: yesمجلة جامعة الانبار للعلوم الصرفة, 2017
The biometric system that based on single biometric measure (Unimodal) are usually contained variety of problems and limitation like noisy data, does not provide high security and non-university, so we used the multibiometric system to improve the ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

A False Acceptance Error Controlling Method for Hyperspherical Classifiers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Controlling false acceptance errors is of critical importance in many pattern recognition applications, including signature and speaker verification problems. Toward this goal, this paper presents two post-processing methods to improve the performance of

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Transformer-Based OCR System for Handwritten Signature Verification in Lawmaking Petitions: A Proof of Concept

open access: yesIEEE Access
Handwritten signature verification (HSV) is essential for validating lawmaking petitions, where each signatory provides a handwritten signature and a personal identifier (ID).

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Toward high-performance online HCCR: a CNN approach with DropDistortion, path signature and spatial stochastic max-pooling

open access: yes, 2017
This paper presents an investigation of several techniques that increase the accuracy of online handwritten Chinese character recognition (HCCR). We propose a new training strategy named DropDistortion to train a deep convolutional neural network (DCNN ...
