IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

A Batch Verification for Multiple Proxy Signature

open access: yes, 2012
[[abstract]]In this article, we proposed a batch verification scheme for multiple proxy signatures to reduce the proxy signature verification time. The proposed scheme is not only efficient because it does not verify each individual proxy signature ...

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Synthetic Signature Generation for Automatic Signature Verification

open access: yes, 2016
Learning to write is complex and usually starts with lines and scribbles. Before reaching a mature handwriting, children start to know the letters’ shapes and their sequence, although the children’s motor control is not yet accurate. Modeling this behavior in a mathematically way would allow to understand the mechanical processes from the initial ...

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Online signature verification techniques [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Signature is a behavioral biometric: it is not based on the physical properties, such as fingerprint or face, of the individual, but behavioral ones. Signature verification is split into two according to the available data in the input.

Implementation and analysis of a handwritten signature verification technique

open access: yes, 2007
There is considerable interest in authentication based on handwritten signature verification because it is superior to many other biometric authentication techniques such as finger prints or retinal patterns, which are reliable but much more intrusive ...
