A simple approach for quantifying node centrality in signed and directed social networks
The position of a node in a social network, or node centrality, can be quantified in several ways. Traditionally, it can be defined by considering the local connectivity of a node (degree) and some non-local characteristics (distance).

On Single Valued Neutrosophic Signed Digraph and its applications [PDF]
The development of the theory of the single valued neutrosophic (SVN) digraph is done in this paper. Also this paper introduces the concept of SVN signed digraph.

Reconstructing signed relations from interaction data
Positive and negative relations play an essential role in human behavior and shape the communities we live in. Despite their importance, data about signed relations is rare and commonly gathered through surveys.

Defensive Alliances in Signed Networks
The analysis of social networks and community detection is a central theme in Artificial Intelligence. One line of research deals with finding groups of agents that could work together to achieve a certain goal. To this end, different notions of so-called clusters or communities have been introduced in the literature of graphs and networks. Among these,

ABSTRACT Background Outcomes in relapsed or refractory pediatric and AYA bone sarcomas remain poor, and the impact of early referral to specialized sarcoma centers on survival is unclear. Early centralization of care may improve local and systemic treatment quality, but evidence in this population is limited.

In network science, identifying optimal partitions of a signed network into internally cohesive and mutually divisive clusters based on generalized balance theory is computationally challenging. We reformulate and generalize two binary linear programming

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Semi-Supervised Gated Spectral Convolution on a Directed Signed Network
A complex network is a powerful tool that enables a complex system in the real world to be represented as a network structure. Due to the heterogeneous edges and nodes implying rich semantic information, network representation has received considerable ...
