Dynamic Surface‐Enhanced Raman Scattering Platform With Multiscale Nanostructural Engineering and Programmable Surface Energy for Artificial Intelligence‐Assisted Discrimination of Helicobacter pylori

open access: yesAdvanced Oncology, Volume 1, Issue 1, December 2026.
This study develops a dynamic surface‐enhanced Raman scattering (D‐SERS) platform integrating multiscale nanoparticle geometry, quantum dot coupling, surface‐energy programming, and a multilayer perceptron model for AI‐assisted classification. It enables ultrahigh sensitivity, noninvasive detection, and specific Helicobacter pylori identification.

Placer Gold in the Eastern Maniototo Basin, Otago, New Zealand: Deposits and Sources

open access: yesNew Zealand Journal of Geology and Geophysics, Volume 69, Issue 4, December 2026.
Abundant detrital gold particles in placer deposits of eastern Maniototo basin, southern South Island, New Zealand, have only minor rounding and retain many angular and crystalline features, implying derivation from a nearby source. Likewise, gold particle interior textures have undergone only minor transport‐induced deformation and recrystallisation ...

Compressive Creep of Fireclay Refractories With Varying Recycled Content

open access: yesInternational Journal of Ceramic Engineering &Science, Volume 8, Issue 6, November 2026.
Compressive creep of fireclay bricks with varying recycled fractions was studied up to 1100°C using the Norton–Bailey law. Higher recyclate contents reduced creep strain and rates. Although bulk chemistry is similar, microstructures differ: Recyclate fines generate more liquid, accelerate transformations, erase texture, and therefore lower creep rates.
