Fibrosarcoma on the leg of an adult rhesus macaque (Macaca mulatta)
Veterinary Record Case Reports, Volume 13, Issue 4, December 2025.Abstract
This case describes a fibrosarcoma on the left upper leg of an adult female rhesus macaque. The patient was initially presented with a defined swelling at the caudolateral side of the upper leg. Medially from the growth, a swollen circular wound had formed with a fistula leading in the direction of the mass.Merel Wegman, Nadiah M. H. A. van Eijk, Jaco Bakker, Judith M. Aging Cell, Volume 24, Issue 12, December 2025.Virally suppressed older people with HIV have larger peripheral blood CD4+ T‐cell reservoirs than younger individuals, correlating with CD4+ and CD8+ T‐cell activation. Similar results were seen in SIV‐infected, ART‐treated aged rhesus macaques. ABSTRACT
