Proton magnetic resonance in coumarins

open access: yes, 1962
The high resolution proton magnetic resonance spectra of AB, ABC and ABCD systems in fourteen coumarins have been studied. Chemical shifts and spin coupling constants for the protons in various positions in the benzo-α-pyrone ring have been obtained. The

Recent advances and prospects for high‐efficiency blue hot exciton organic light‐emitting diodes

open access: yesFlexMat, EarlyView.
Blue organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs) face great challenges in achieving the balance between color purity, device efficiency, and stability. Hot exciton materials offer a solution by rapidly converting non‐emissive triplet excitons into singlet ones through a high‐lying reverse intersystem crossing process.

Pumpkin and chia seeds as functional foods and their application in different food products: A review

open access: yesFood Biomacromolecules, EarlyView.
Abstract Functional foods have gained increasing attention for their capacity to promote health and reduce chronic‐disease risk beyond basic nutrition. Among plant‐based functional ingredients, pumpkin (Cucurbita spp.) and chia (Salvia hispanica L.) seeds are nutrient‐dense sources of proteins, unsaturated fatty acids, dietary fiber, tocopherols ...

Dual Genotoxic and Antigenotoxic Effects of 3‐Benzoylcoumarins in Mammalian Cells

open access: yesJournal of Applied Toxicology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Coumarins are phenolic compounds widely recognized for their diverse pharmacological activities and have attracted increasing attention as potential chemopreventive agents. In the present study, four known 3‐benzoylcoumarin derivatives [(1), (2), (3), and (4)] were evaluated for their cytotoxic, mutagenic, and antigenotoxic effects in Chinese ...

Coumarins from Peucedanum luxurians

open access: yes, 2007
Ten coumarins were isolated from Peucedanum luxurians. The rare coumarins stenocarpin, stenocarpin isobutyrate, officinalin, officinalin isobutyrate, 8-methoxypeucedanin and the known xanthotoxin, isoimperatorin, bergaptene, peucedanin and cnidilin were ...

Zinc triflate catalyzed solvent-free synthesis of coumarins

open access: yesDiscover Chemistry
The Pechmann condensation remains one of the most direct routes to coumarin frameworks; however, its efficiency is often compromised by harsh Brønsted acids or solvent effects.

Gradient‐Structured Polymer Fiber Mats for Broadly Tunable Multicolor and White Lasing

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
Hierarchically engineered electrospun fiber mats containing separated red, green, and blue dyes enable highly tunable multicolor and white random lasing. Spatially controlled dye distribution suppresses energy transfer, allowing precise color adjustment across wide color gamuts and accurate reproduction of daylight white standards.
