The cell‐autonomous roles of interferon type 1 vary based on duration and intensity. While acute, robust signaling results in cancer cell cytotoxic effects, sustained, low‐level signaling is associated with tumor‐promoting effects. This review summarizes current research of IFN‐1 in cancer and within the clinical setting, with an emphasis on female ...

Volume Of A Tetrahedron Revisited
The volume of a tetrahedron is represented in terms of the twelve face angles, inradii of the faces of tetrahedron, circumradii of the faces and the radius of the sphere circumscribing the ...

Recent developments in empirical dynamic modelling
Ecosystems are complex and sparsely observed making inference and prediction challenging. Empirical dynamic modelling (EDM) circumvents the need for a parametric model and complete observations of all system variables.

Stability of Medicinal Nanoemulsions to Spaceflight: Insights From the StarMed Experiment
Chitosan‐coated melatonin nanoemulsions (MN) recovered from a sounding rocket mission preserve droplet size and controlled‐release behavior, whereas uncoated nanoemulsions show ageing‐driven droplet growth and increased accessible drug fraction. Simple polymer coatings thus enhance the flight resilience of liquid space medicines under cumulative launch

The simplex geometry of graphs
AbstractGraphs are a central object of study in various scientific fields, such as discrete mathematics, theoretical computer science and network science. These graphs are typically studied using combinatorial, algebraic or probabilistic methods, each of which highlights the properties of graphs in a unique way.

Making the Case for Organ‐on‐Chip Platforms in Long‐Acting Therapeutics Development
LATs release drug from a tissue‐resident depot over weeks to months, improving adherence, but their development is hampered by preclinical models that cannot reproduce the coupled tissue processes, sustained release, local microenvironment change, interstitial transport, immune and foreign‐body responses, and clearance that govern depot performance in ...

Improvements of the Hermite-Hadamard inequality for the simplex
In this study, the simplex whose vertices are barycenters of the given simplex facets plays an essential role. The article provides an extension of the Hermite-Hadamard inequality from the simplex barycenter to any point of the inscribed simplex except ...

Consensus Formation and Change are Enhanced by Neutrality
Neutral agents are shown to enhance both the formation and overturning of consensus in collective decision‐making. A general mathematical model and experiments with locusts and humans reveal that neutrality enables robust consensus via simple interactions and accelerates consensus change by reducing effective population size.

Hyperspectral Endmember Extraction Using Spatially Weighted Simplex Strategy
Spatial information is increasingly becoming a vital factor in the field of hyperspectral endmember extraction, since it takes into consideration the spatial correlation of pixels, which generally involves jointing spectral information for preprocessing ...
