Homologous expression and purification of human HAX‐1 for structural studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This research protocol provides detailed instructions for cloning, expressing, and purifying large quantities of the intrinsically disordered human HAX‐1 protein, N‐terminally fused to a cleavable superfolder GFP, from mammalian cells. HAX‐1 is predicted to undergo posttranslational modifications and to interact with membranes, various cellular ...

TMC4 localizes to multiple taste cell types in the mouse taste papillae

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Transmembrane channel‐like 4 (TMC4), a voltage‐dependent chloride channel, plays a critical role in amiloride‐insensitive salty taste transduction. TMC4 is broadly expressed in all mature taste cell types, suggesting a possible involvement of multiple cell types in this pathway.

Fixed point results employing simulation functions in JS-metric spaces

open access: yesFixed Point Theory and Algorithms for Sciences and Engineering
This paper introduces a new class of contractions in JS-metric spaces and utilizes it to obtain fixed point results, which generalize several well-known results. Moreover, an example is given to illustrate the utility of the obtained results.

Picard-Jungck Operator for a Pair of Mappings and Simulation Type Functions

open access: yesMathematics, 2019
In this manuscript, we propose a new class of Picard-Jungck operators for a pair of mappings on complete metric spaces by taking into account of the C G -simulation function. Also, some new results for the existence of such operators for a pair of

VHDL-AMS based genetic optimization of a fuzzy logic controller for automotive active suspension systems

open access: yes, 2005
This paper presents a new type of fuzzy logic controller (FLC) membership functions for automotive active suspension systems. The shapes of the membership functions are irregular and optimized using a genetic algorithm (GA).

Dynamic crossover scaling in polymer solutions

open access: yes, 2012
The crossover region in the phase diagram of polymer solutions, in the regime above the overlap concentration, is explored by Brownian Dynamics simulations, to map out the universal crossover scaling functions for the gyration radius and the single-chain
