Peritext as Simultaneous Gesture: Erik Satie’s Piano Works of 1912–1915 [PDF]
The article explores the evolution of extra-musical elements in the piano cycles of Erik Satie’s (1866–1925) mature period. The methodological foundation for this research is the theory of the paratext developed by French literary theorist Gérard Genette.

Synechocystis strains deficient in succinate dehydrogenase (SDH) secrete more succinate than the WT under dark anaerobic conditions, supporting that SDH then primarily acts as SDH, not as a fumarate reductase. L‐aspartate oxidase (Laspo) from Synechocystis is functional under anaerobic conditions, reducing fumarate to succinate.

Not-so-Absolute Cosmic Simultaneity [PDF]
Cosmic simultaneity is the proposal that we can reconcile absolute simultaneity with relativity by means of the cosmic time function definable in certain cosmological models. In this paper, I add a new criticism to the debate on cosmic simultaneity: once

Metastatic niche shaped by host factors influences disseminated cancer cell fate
Metastasis is shaped not only by cancer cells but also by the environments they encounter. This review explores how factors such as aging, diet, the microbiome, lifestyle, and environmental exposures remodel organ‐specific niches in the lung, liver, bone, and brain, influencing where metastatic cells survive, remain dormant, or grow, and ultimately ...

Relations of simultaneity of prepositions in local and temporal usage [PDF]
In this paper, we analyze different Serbian prepositions that are used to express the simultaneity between events and processes. We explore both genuine temporal entities (like days, months, seasons) and happenings that presuppose the passage of time ...

David Malament and the Conventionality of Simultaneity: A Reply [PDF]
In 1977, David Malament proved the valuable technical result that the simultaneity relation of standard synchrony with respect to an inertial observer O is uniquely definable in terms of the relation of causal connectibility.

Philosophical Consequences of the Simultaneity Breakdown
The special theory of relativity implies the relativity of simultaneity, i.e. that two different observers may not agree whether two spatially separated events happened at the same time.

Spreading time through space: An analysis of the conventionality of intra-frame simultaneity. [PDF]
It is shown that the simultaneity of distant events is taken for granted by some major thinkers, most notably Leibniz and Newton, preceding Einstein. However, in 1905, the STR's examination, and subsequent reconstruction, of this assumption, engendered ...

Transient oligomers formed by intrinsically disordered proteins may be ‘invisible’ to direct detection yet remain accessible to solution NMR through equilibrium‐exchange measurements and pressure‐jump experiments. Complementary methods report on mass, stoichiometry, selected distance distributions, morphology, and internal packing.

De la simultanéité en histoire globale
This essay focuses on simultaneity as a discursive figure of global history. The question is rather simple: why does global history sometimes use simultaneities to demonstrate connections?
